Kurtis and Alesha | Married | Chase

I am not sure who it was that told me the analogy on the wedding day. Or even really how it went. But it had to do with oceans and islands. The Ocean, filled with all the passion and excitement of the endless tides, wrapping itself around the Island, the calm at the centre of that storm. That describes Alesha and Kurtis as well as anyone can. These two were surrounded by laughter and love on a beautifully sunny day at Quaaout Lodge in Chase, BC.
Thank you Alesha and Kurtis, for letting us be a part of your amazing day! Congratulations!

Dave & Cindy | Married | Pemberton

I met Dave and Cindy on the river.  It isn’t important which river it was exactly, because it is a known thing amongst paddlers and guides the world over that some of the strongest friendships are formed to the sounds of laughter mixing with the crash of rapids, and the crackling of campfires.

As dear to me as family, their wedding day was filled with all the joy and love you would expect from two of the kindest and most beautiful people you could ever have the pleasure of knowing.
I’ll just leave my favourite Irish wedding blessing here, and let the pictures speak for themselves. Congratulations Dave and Cindy. And Thank You.

.

“May your mornings bring joy and your evenings bring peace.

May your troubles grow few as your blessings increase.

May the saddest day of your future

Be no worse than the happiest day of your past.

May your hands be forever clasped in friendship

And your hearts joined forever in love.

Your lives are very special,

God has touched you in many ways.

May his blessings rest upon you

And fill all your coming days.”

Sierra & Andy | Married | Kamloops

If there is anything  I have learned about people that live or work in the country, it is that they can say more with their silences than most can with all the words available to them. Andy and Sierras day was filled with laughter and smiles. And the looks these two shared spoke volumes. Thank you, you two, for letting us be a part of your amazing wedding in Kamloops!

Alexis & Steven | Married | Kamloops BC

It is rare that I tear up at a wedding. Don’t take this as callousness, but usually I am focused on the image, and capturing the moments for our couples. But at Alexis and Steven’s wedding I had to put the camera down many times during the day, and just be a part of such an incredible celebration. Some moments can’t be described in photos or words, and will exist only memory. I will treasure these ones, as one of the most incredible events I’ve had the pleasure of shooting in all my years of working as a photographer.

.

Thank you, Alexis and Steven.

Alizée & Clayton | Married | Chase BC.

You may remember from my posting of Clayton and Alizées engagement photos, that the moments created by these two were magical. And it felt in a way, as if I were intruding on something that if interrupted, or startled, would disappear like a spring fawn. On their wedding day however, the love these two have for each other encompassed everyone involved in their wedding. You could not help but be caught up in the tidal pull of their personalities. It has been my great pleasure to know Alizée and Clayton for many years, and the honour of being there to capture their day was humbling. Here’s to two of the finest people I have had the pleasure of meeting in my travels. Congratulations Alizée and Clayton.

“May your joys be as sweet as spring flowers that grow.
As bright as a fire when winter winds blow,
As countless as leaves that float down in the fall,
As serene as the love that keeps watch over us all.”
