Karen and Samuel | Married – Charlie Lake

On Thursday, July 14th. Myself and Pat Valade of valadephotography.com made the journey to Charlie Lake, British Columbia. A 13 hour drive from our home offices into the Peace District of northern British Columbia. The journey was worth every minute of headrest napping and frequent stretch breaks as Samuel and Karen are the kind of couple every photographer dreams of shooting. Their enthusiasm, passion, and love for each other was apparent in every detail and moment of their big day.

The day of the rehearsal saw the wedding location drenched in rains so heavy the only other place that I can remember seeing a downpour like that was in the Philippines during typhoon season. But, as seems to be the way with these things, the sun broke through less than ten minutes before the ceremony started, and the rain held off until after midnight.

The theme of their wedding was butterflies, and below is a sneak peak at an eclectic sorting of images from their wedding. Thank you Samuel and Karen for allowing us into your life for this incredible day, it was truly a pleasure.

Duane - Amazing shots Andrew. It was an amazing weekend.

Jean - Agreed Duane! Especially like the picture taken in the canola field.
